The Four Lands of Nipissing

During this 3  week residency, Ruth will continue the work she started in December 2012 in North Bay. Ruth Howard, Artistic Director of Jumblies Theatre, will be leading a series of community arts events as part of a partnership between the North Bay Public LibraryAanmitaagzi and the White Water Gallery. Ruth received funding for this activity through the Ontario Arts Council’s “Artists in the Community/Workplace” grant which allows her to be in North Bay this week as well as a three week final phase next September. Check out this article in the North Bay Nipissing News! This residency will also be party of the Active Arts Festival 2013 which is in partnership with theCapitol Centre’s BluesFest for 2013!

The Four Lands of Nipissing
Take part in a local community arts project. The Four Lands of Nipissing is an evolving, participatory, performative gallery installation that explores our Goodlands, Badlands, Lostlands, and Dreamlands through ongoing drop-in activities at the White Water Gallery, Aanmitaagzi’s Big Medicine Studio and other local venues. A final presentation and celebration will be held following the end of the project, with more details to be presented over the next few weeks.

What’s going on?

Who’s behind this?
The Four Lands of Nipissing is a collaboration between Jumblies Theatre, Aanmitaagzi, the White Water Gallery and the North Bay Public Library with a team of local and visiting artists.

Can I join in?
Yes!  Everyone is welcome, whatever your age or experience. Drop by to make some art or just to say hello, have a cup of tea, and share a story!  Look on the back to see a schedule.
