Call For Board Members (Ongoing)

Dear artistic community of Nipissing Territory,

The White Water Gallery is currently looking for new, enthusiastic people to join our board of directors!

The role of board members is to provide active leadership and direction to the White Water Gallery in accordance with our mission and mandate.

About the White Water Gallery:

White Water Gallery is a not-for-profit Artist-Run Centre committed to supporting artistic practices that prioritize risk and innovation. Founded in 1974 and incorporated in 1977, the White Water Gallery was originally created to facilitate opportunities for local artists in need of professional development who were unable to find accommodating venues for their research and dissemination projects. This need combined with the dedication of many local artists founded an institution devoted to the support of artistic development prioritizing research, risk-taking and experimentation in the arts.

About the Board:

Board meetings are held monthly. Currently, the Board is comprised of artists, community members and students, however we welcome candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. White Water Gallery is strongly committed to equity within its community and to recruiting diverse members of the Board. As such, we encourage applications from all qualified candidates including persons with disabilities, First Nations, Métis and Inuit persons, members of racialized communities and persons across a spectrum of sexual orientation or gender identities. Memberships may be purchased or renewed at the upcoming AGM.
