The Black Water Arts Collective was formed in August 2015, by and for new generation artists. With a focus on guerrilla and urban art, their activities have included performative interventions in public spaces, visual and media arts installations, and a monthly poetry slam that has become a favourite community event.
Notable events: in the summer of 2017, fabulous artist boy Roland visited from Thunder Bay to help facilitate the creation of another awesome graffiti mural downtown – on Cheapskates’ wall!
Thanks to the Ontario Arts Council for generously supporting this project, and to our community partners: Cheapskates, Gateway Home Hardware, the Downtown Improvement Association, the City of North Bay, and the North Bay Police Service for making this project possible!
