I express my creativity through the exploration of textiles. My work celebrates my love and kinship to my surroundings, incorporating colour, shapes, form and texture. My inspiration for “Rock Face at Barron Canyon” was a photograph by Clayton Rollins. Using photo shop I changed the colour contrast and used the new colour scheme for my creation. I have used paint, woven fibres, cotton fabric, cotton and polyester threads, silk and painted cheese cloth, machine stitched through cotton/poly batt.
