Since 911, surveillance in society has be questioned and analyzed throughout contemporary art. ICU analyses surveillance throughout Canadian society by recreating surveillance footage using paint and collage. This piece researches and engages the many forms of surveillance in society, such as video, photography and dome mirrors. This work juxtaposes visual art and surveillance technology to capture social life and events. ICU emphasizes how photographs and videos can be easily circulated.
