Melvin Junko: Howl at the Moon

Chris Yorke working under his alter ego “Melvin Junko” will create a series of outdoor site specific visual art installations.

These installations are spontaneous and reflect personal identity for both the artist and environment. Utilizing images of himself, Melvin will create a series of confrontation points throughout the city engaging random passersby in random acts of art. These installations break the normal everyday life and force an audience to think about their environment.

Additionally, Melvin will demonstrate forms of sub-culture peer assessment and male bonding techniques by participating in North Bay’s Nuit Blanche as a self acclaimed leader of pub culture. Melvin will be journeying the local taverns and gathering crowds to venture with him to the Nuit Blanche site and get involved in additional random art events.
